Day 3: Letting it go with love
Day 3 of the #MoneyLoveChallenge is here!
Did yesterday’s challenge bring up some emotions? Perhaps your first memory of money was a little painful? Or maybe it was warm and fuzzy. Maybe you found that one memory was attached to a lot of others, and you were flooded with a bunch of recollections. Our memory can be a bit like Pandora’s Box.
Dredging up the past can sure push some buttons.
Today is about clearing out the cobwebs. We can’t make space for more abundance when we’re carrying around a lot of emotional baggage.
Step one:
Take out the piece of paper where you wrote your first memory about money. Add to it, in shorthand or quick bullet points, any other money memories you have, focusing on the ones that aren’t the most awesome.
Then, add any financial ties, habits, circumstances, or anything else you think of that you’re ready to let go of.
Take the list and burn it as you say, “I am now releasing anything and everything from my financial past that no longer serves me. I’m grateful for the ways it got me to where I am today, and I now set it, and me, free in love.”
(If you’re not able to burn it safely, crumple it up and flush it down the toilet.)
Step two:
Share the love! Snap a photo of your list burning and declare your willingness to release what no longer serves you in this area. Share on social media or our online community. Sharing this publicly gives it more power, and you’ll also inspire your community to do some releasing of their own. Use the #MoneyLoveChallenge hashtag so we can all cheer you on!
Happy releasing!
